Race Against the Rain

Today's ride took place at Boyette. We got there around 12:30. It was super hot and humid. Our goal was to get a fun ride in before the afternoon rains. It didn't quite happen as we planned. We rode our normal trails, but added a couple new ones... like East Meadow, Woods Trail, Swamp Thing and Sidewinder. We ended up walking some parts of Swamp Thing and Sidewinder. The clay was very slick and a little too dangerous to ride on.

After that, the sky got really dark and we started to hear thunder. For some reason, I have this fear about being stuck in the woods during a thunderstorm. We pedaled super fast trying to race against the rain. We were about 2 miles away from the parking lot when it started to rain. I was forced to overcome my fear and actually the rain felt pretty awesome!!
