Saturday morning...We packed a picnic lunch, loaded up our bikes and gear, then headed to Alafia. When we got there, we were a little disappointed! The lady at the gate told us that there was triathlon going on and River Loop was under water. After parking way out in the boonies and carrying the coolers on our bikes, we finally got down to the picnic tables. So much for eating at a table, they were all reserved. Not a big deal, we put our stuff down next a tree and headed over to Sandy Pine. I don't know what got into my sister today, but she was a little rocket!!! We kept a super fast pace throughout the entire trail without stopping. It was awesome! After that, we decided to ride North Creek. We all know the trail is too difficult for my sister on her little bike, but she was in such a great mood , we thought maybe she wouldn't mind if she had to walk her bike up a couple hills. This time, my Mom and I decided to ride together. We took off and then waited for my Dad and Kiki every half mile or so. Even with Kiki having to walk her bike a little and crashing, she was still in a great mood.
After that, we took a little break and ate our sandwiches.
Since most of the trails were a muddy mess, we took another fast ride on Sandy Pine. Here's my Mom and Dad. They said when my sister and I get on bigger bikes, they won't be able to keep up with us any more. One more month and my new bike should be put together. Can't wait!!
